Memorial Day Colorado Events to remember....

Manitou Springs remembers...
Memorial Day is always one of the major Colorado events at this Pikes Peak Bed and Breakfast.  We remember all those who have sacrificed in the name of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  Hopefully someday we will all live in peace and harmony no matter what race, creed, religion or gender. Have a very safe Memorial Day.

Colorado B&B shows its Colors...

Chairy welcome...
Before (1991) and After (2012) at the Two Sisters Inn
Two Sisters Inn is a Colorado B&B with lots of color.  This year Pikes Peak gardens have bloomed and greened earlier than usual. We were looking at some old photos of the first garden we ever created on what was a dustbowl on the upper lot of the property.  Can't believe how much has changed! Since 1990 we have been constantly improving the grounds. There is always so much to do when people visit Manitou Springs but sometimes it is special to just sit and literally smell the roses in the beautiful gardens around the Inn.
Come join us this year for some peaceful moments in your life.

Celebrating Graduations at the Two Sisters Inn Bed and Breakfast has become a tradition

Cookie Mortar Boards
This Colorado Bed and Breakfast has been celebrating graduations for 23 years.  We have seen many Colorado College, Air Force Academy and other local schools of higher education graduates achieve their degrees. It is so inspiring to see these young adults forging their futures in today's world.  Two Sisters Inn congratulates all of the graduates and their families and wish them great success.

The best Colorado events are the May Flowers...

The best Colorado events are the May flowers from the April showers.  We welcome the rainbow of colors in the Two Sisters Inn gardens.  This year all over the Pikes Peak region flowers and trees bloomed early and the fragrances from the lilacs and irises are amazing.  Our front porch is almost obliterated by white snowballs of spirea. Hopefully the squirrels will leave some apricots on the tree for us. Come relax in our gardens and enjoy this beautiful time of year.

Inn recipes in time for ANZAC Day commemorations at this Colorado Bed and Breakfast

Inn recipes in time for ANZAC Day April 25 at this Colorado Bed and Breakfast.  In honour of our guests and friends from Australia and New Zealand we have added Anzac Biscuits to our repertoire of delectables.  To our American guests and friends that translates to a delicious cookie treat. ANZAC Day started in 1916 to commemorate Australians and New Zealanders who fought in WWI.  Now it is much like the American Memorial Day in honor of those lost in war time.  The Two Sisters Inn will have ANZAC biscuits and other tastes for all!

Colorado events like these teach us all to think of others - Paper Clips Project

It's the season for Colorado events like these. Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah) is April 18, 2012 this year. Reminiscent of the documentary "Paper Clips" in Tennessee, students from Mr. Kuzma's 9th Grade World History Class are honoring the 1.5 million children who died in the Holocaust by striving to collect 1.5 million paper clips by the end of the class year.  A local TV station broadcast the class' effort.  Please send your paper clips to Sierra High School c/o the Paper Clips Project 2250 Jetwing Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80916.  Don't think anyone can imagine what 1.5 million clips looks like. Two Sisters Inn contributed 30 dozen!
